Open Classes with The Collective
The Collective Dance Company offers bi-weekly modern classes that are open to the public and geared toward the intermediate/advanced level dancer. Sunday morning classes are taught by a rotating schedule of guest teachers. Tuesday evening classes are taught by a rotating schedule of Collective members. Classes are primarily offered in modern/contemporary dance. The first Tuesday of every month, a speciality class is offered in a different style or genre of dance. Matthew McCormack | Recent Works
MFA candidate McCormack, an interdisciplinary artist who works in glass and other materials, has a strong interest in kinetic and sound sculpture. He physically engages visitors through installations and sculpture. He believes that through the shared experience of art our community will better appreciate all life forms, people and ideas.

Don't miss this hands-on activity of discovery where participants are encouraged to play on (or with) a wide variety of percussion instruments. Through play, children learn about the amazing sounds that can be produced and the different techniques for producing these sounds.

Christmas Village Grand Opening
Christmas Village in Baltimore sails back into West Shore Park with its Grand Opening Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 30. The ceremony will feature an official visit from the Christkind (the traditional Christmas Angel and bringer of gifts) from Nuremberg Germany, a traditional prologue by the Christkind, a meet and greet with the Christkind and Santa, and an official Christmas tree lighting withMayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake.

Charm City Bronze The Handbell School
This October, the inagural season of Charm City Bronze The Handbell School arrives!
Beau Lochte, The Handbell School founder, has over five years of experience directing bell choirs, youth and adult, in the Baltimore area and conducted a massed choir that included Arsis Handbell Ensemble, Estonia at Second Presbyterian Church on July 22, 2014.
The Handbell School, on Deepdene Road in Baltimore's Roland Park neighborhood, promises lots of opportunities for students as well as parents to participate in a fun and rewarding activity together learning music through the bells!
Company Class with Deep Vision Dance Company
Deep Vision Dance Company holds open company classes in collaboration with Towson University's Community Dance program. Modern classes are taught at an intermeadiate level by company director and company members. Classes are influenced by Horton, Graham, and Release technique; Bartenieff Fundamentals; and Laban Movement Analysis.
Classes can be paid for on a drop in basis via cash, check, or credit card. Class cards are also available for purchase in studio. $14 drop in.
Beginning Acting
This introductory course on character development will teach actors how to create clear and dynamic characters through understanding the importance and complexity of character motivation, playing strong objectives, and script analysis. Actors will work with a variety of texts and exercises to apply learned techniques. Due to high demand, we've opened up this additional section of our popular beginner's course. UMD Korean Percussion Ensemble
Experience the sights, sounds and rhythms of Korean percussion — Samulnori!
Samulnori is an ensemble of four percussion instruments: an hourglass drum, a barrel drum, a small gong and a large gong. This exhilarating contemporary form of Korean music will be performed by the UMD Korean Percussion Ensemble. In addition, director Sebastian Wang will be accompanied by trained professionals who will perform some of the great repertoire of Samulnori. All are invited to come and enjoy this great event.
Winter Big Band Showcase
In this annual event, director Chris Vadala brings together three ensembles in innovative interpretations of classic and contemporary jazz works, including movements from Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite and other holiday favorites.
