During this workshop, attendees will be immersed in the world of beekeeping including foundational beekeeping knowledge such as bee life-cycle, hive dynamics, and bee production. The workshop is geared towards nature lovers, potential beekeepers, and volunteers who want to learn more about these effective little insects. Also, this will be a STING free event :) Participants will better under the symbiotic relationship between pollinators and TALMAR to help ensure succulent produce and vibrant flowers.

The Peabody Children's Chorus will be holding auditions for children who love to sing. Auditions are open to ages 6-17 and will be held at our Towson and Howard County locations. Members of the Training Choir (ages 6-10), Choristers (10-14), and Cantate (12-18) rehearse high quality treble music of advancing challenge and sophistication, and perform in public concert at least twice a year. In recent years, the Chorus has performed local groups like the BSO, Lyric Opera, Baltimore Choral Arts society and more. We have toured in England, France, Italy, Germany, and Austria.

Weekend Workers is all about fun as you discover how things work. These engaging activities allow children of all ages to investigate the world around them. On June 10, we present 3D Vacuum Print Making with FutureMakers from 11am to 12pm. Cost is included with admission.
Charm City Ballet presents its original production, Aladdin. After nearly two years of bringing original choreography, talented dancers and visual splendor to audiences, CCB presents its newest ballet, Aladdin. Founders and choreographers, Peter Commander and Rebecca Friedman are 2009 Goucher dance major graduates who have brought together an eclectic mix of local dancers to perform in this lively version of the familiar tale. In conjunction with HONFEST, Make Studio is pleased to host its own community mini-festival, Signs of Summer, to celebrate the Hampden neighborhood. Signs of Summer will offer hands-on art activities, including demos of traditional hand-lettering techniques, the opening of an exhibition featuring work by the participants of our recent workshops for young people, musical performances, and refreshments. In addition, Make Studio will unveil new hand-painted signage.

Tour Dem Parks, Hon is Baltimore’s premiere annual recreational bike ride! The 15th annual Tour is Sunday, June 11, 2017. Choose from 4 routes (between 5 and 35 miles) for a close-up view of Baltimore's parks and neighborhoods. Each ride is different, and the longest includes Carroll, Patterson, Clifton, Druid Hill, and some quietly tucked away gems.
Proceeds support Baltimore's parks, as well as environmental, "friends of parks", and cycling groups.
Start and end point is behind the Rawlings Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in Druid Hill Park.
At Geppi’s Entertainments Museum we feel all little boys and little girls are just superheroes in disguise. Please join us on Sunday, June 11, 2017 for our third annual “Little Heroes” event from 1-4pm. Children may come dressed up as their favorite superhero, but have no fear; if you don’t have a cape and mask we will provide one for you. Children will be able to design their own cape and choose a mask from a variety of colors.
