SUMMER CAMP For Youth RISING K-2nd Grade
"ROAD TRIP USA"
With their imaginations as a guide and their actor’s tools in hand, students jet off on amazing adventures, exploring movement, visual art, drama, and music throughout the week. The final day of camp features highlights of their travels for family and friends to enjoy! This session: Road Trip USA: Discover the beauty and diversity of the States. Stop at roadside attractions, visit famous landmarks and make dramatic memories.
From short-form theatre sports to long-form improvisational storytelling, this week teaches you to think quickly and embrace the absurd. At the end of the week, showcase your work for family and friends.
Age Group: Rising 9th-12th Grade

Students wear different theatrical hats each day—actor, playwright, designer, crew—and work as an ensemble to collaborate and ultimately transform page to the stage. This camp culminates in a sharing of work for family and friends to enjoy! This Session: Stories leap from our voices around the fire! Thrilling myths and tall tales that keep growing set the stage for exciting creation. *Camp day includes a break for lunch and recess*

Activate the body as the ultimate actor's tool in this introduction and exploration of Laban Technique. Students learn about the fundamentals of a helpful approach: a method grounded in visualization and interpretation of human movement. Bridge the physical work with text-based exercises designed to increase awareness, intention, and add new dramatic language to your vernacular.
Classes take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm for two weeks through Everyman Theatre Education's Summer Adult Special Skills Series.
Students interested in directing are invited to unpack this exciting theatrical perspective. The director interacts with a diverse array of artists from designers to actors, producers to stage management. Identify and exercise key skills necessary to communicate vision, provide feedback, and ultimately craft truthful theatrical moments onstage in this foundational look at the art of directing.

From stage combat to dance, improvisation to clowning, experiment, learn, and ultimately showcase your dramatic prowess in a final cabaret style showcase for family and friends! This Session: All the World's a Stage. From Shakespeare to stage combat, dance to contemporary character creation, students explore the world of the actor in this unique sampling of necessary theatrical skills. *Camp day includes a break for lunch and recess*
This two-week intensive invites motivated young artists who want to learn about the professional rehearsal process. Students will take skill-building workshops in a variety of topics that relate to their final performance, rehearse, and ultimately perform an established play for family and friends. *Class on the final day of Play Production, July 28, will be held from 1:00-7:00pm, with a final performance.

Featuring song, dance, improvisation, and clowning, this week celebrates the wonder of it all!
A storied tradition, the mask invites an actor to bring a character to life in a unique and dynamic way. Students are introduced to the tenants of physical play while diving into a Commedia dell'arte approach to comedy, play making, and inhabiting mask.

Connect safe best practice approaches to physical storytelling and experience the tenants of hand-to-hand stage combat. Punch, slap, fall, and more! Isolate each move then combine these into a movement sequence with a focus on strong partnership. These moments on stage move each story forward and this class will do just the same for the students involved!
