Libiamo! Celebrate the holiday season with a laugh and a cry in Verdi’s masterpiece of the struggle between opulence and propriety. La Traviata is the story of ill-fated lovers Violetta and Alfredo, who meet and fall in love in high spirits but are torn apart as a result of Alfredo’s father’s misconceptions and Alfredo’s own stubbornness. Alfredo ultimately realizes his mistake too late, in one of opera’s most moving scenes. La Traviata will be presented in conjunction with BCO’s fourth annual Silent Auction.
" THE AMEN CORNER" is a drama by one of America's greatest writers, James Baldwin. A writer well know for his fiction and non-fiction novels, books, essays and plays. A powerful play with compelling characters questioning their place in this world and how they can be true to God and yet survive in the world. Mr. Baldwin lays open the questions about family and religion.
