Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Gaithersburg
More than 250 of the nation’s finest artisans will display and sell their handcrafted work in Gaithersburg, Maryland (outside Washington, DC) at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival, Friday, November 21, through Sunday, November 23 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Jury-selected artists from around the country will present their stunning array of contemporary crafts in sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, leather, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art. Holiday shoppers can enjoy browsing and buying fine crafts and unique gifts for everyone on their holiday list.

Don't miss this hands-on activity of discovery where participants are encouraged to play on (or with) a wide variety of percussion instruments. Through play, children learn about the amazing sounds that can be produced and the different techniques for producing these sounds.

Pre-Thanksgiving Vegan Potluck
Bring a vegan dish – made without meat, fish, fowl, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, or other animal-derived ingredients – that serves four as a contribution from each member of your party.
Also, we encourage you to bring a non-perishable vegetarian canned food item to donate to the church, who will distribute it to those in need.
Children are admitted free.
Charm City Bronze The Handbell School
This October, the inagural season of Charm City Bronze The Handbell School arrives!
Beau Lochte, The Handbell School founder, has over five years of experience directing bell choirs, youth and adult, in the Baltimore area and conducted a massed choir that included Arsis Handbell Ensemble, Estonia at Second Presbyterian Church on July 22, 2014.
The Handbell School, on Deepdene Road in Baltimore's Roland Park neighborhood, promises lots of opportunities for students as well as parents to participate in a fun and rewarding activity together learning music through the bells!
BIG Intro to Improv
Students explore the fundamental principles of improvisation through exercises in agreement, commitment, spontaneity, and listening. Sessions are designed so students build a strong foundation as confident performers. Amaze yourself with your new found skills in front of your friends and family at the last class performance. Come out and have a blast! Nov. 4 – Dec. 16 (seven consecutive Tuesdays) 7 – 9pm each night. $200, $180 mbrs.

8th Annual Bulle Rock Turkey Trot
Open to the public for all age groups and fitness levels, the 5K run and 1-mile walk will raise money for the Susquehanna Hose Company, which is responsible for the fire protection services for the City of Havre De Grace.

This year, on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, 2014, the Y will host its Turkey Trot Charity 5K in Towson.

MAC Gobble Cobble Turkey Trot
On Thanksgiving morning, over 500 runners will run in Falls Road Running’s 5th Annual Gobble Cobble Turkey Trot, hosted by the Maryland Athletic Club & Wellness Center (MAC). Participants will start outside of the MAC Harbor East, run down Lancaster Street into Fells Point, then tour through the old cobble stone roads of the Fells Point Waterfront. Watch your step or you may truly be gobbling on some cobbling before dinner! Runners will finish the run on Pratt Street’s Trolley Path and Inner Harbor Promenade.
Christmas Village in Baltimore
German Christmas sails into Baltimore – come and enjoy an authentic German Christmas market right here in Charm City! From Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 27) through Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24), Christmas Village in Baltimore will once again return to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to transform West Shore Park into European wonderland.

The Observatory is open to museum visitors every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting. Admission is included with Science Center admission.
