This year, composition students Greg Borodulin ‘16, Hans Weih ’16 and Lisa Alonso ’17 have written songs for voice and piano. They will be joined by a special guest composer new to the college.
Daniel and Lauren Goans began performing as Lowland Hum not long after they married in 2012. Making the most of their combined voices, a guitar, a drum, and two custom-made stompbox/tambourines, Lowland Hum became known for their enthralling live shows and a songwriting style that moves beyond the genres they inhabit. Illuminated installations and hand-bound lyric books have also made their way into the duo’s live performances, incorporatingLauren’s background in visual art.
Soprano Charlotte Khuner will perform works by Franz Schubert, George Fridric Handel, Georges Bizet, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

UMBC’s Department of Music presents the UMBC New Music Ensemble under the direction of Patrick Crossland. The New Music Ensemble explores and performs Western chamber music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
This is Baltimore City's only dedicated blues jam, hosted by blues guitarist/vocalist Gina DeLuca in an open mic format in historic Fells Point, three blocks north of the waterfront, one block east of Broadway. All are welcome to play the blues or just stop by to hear a set. Free street parking; no cover. Music starts at 8pm and runs until 12 midnight. All ages; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a smoke-free venue.

The Goucher College Orchestra presents its spring concert under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Elisa Koehler. The program will feature the world premiere of a Mandolin Concerto by Joel Michael-Schwartz ‘15, as well as works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph Haydn, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Junior Bach is an outreach program sponsored by the Peabody Composition Department. Each semester, Peabody composition majors give weekly, one-on-one lessons to students from the St. Ignatius Loyola Academy, culminating in this concert of their original music.
The “Crown Prince of New York Cabaret” (New York Times) performs the music of such classic composers as the Gershwins, Porter, Berlin, Sondheim and Noel Coward, with a special tribute to Fred Astaire.
