Echoes: Bold New Paintings by Tafa
Recent paintings by distinguished artist, Tafa Fiadzigbe, will be on view at New Door Creative Gallery in Baltimore’s Station North Arts District, February 21st through March 22nd, 2015. Greatly anticipated by area enthusiasts and collectors, the exhibition entitled "Echoes" reintroduces the artist to the Baltimore region. 6th Annual Half Marathon, Relay, and Kids K Powered by Back on My Feet
Ranked by Active.com in 2014 as One of the Nations Top 10 Scenic Spring Races, the 6th Annual Half Marathon, Relay & Kids K is a 13.1 mile race with a 3-leg relay component (3.5 miles, 6.1 miles and 3.5 miles). All proceeds from the race support our local Back on My Feet Baltimore Chapter.
Y Spring Eggstravaganza
The Y of Central Maryland will host a Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 28 at Family Center Ys throughout Central Maryland. This family-friendly event will feature a family egg hunt, crafts and more. Times and activities vary by location, so please call your local Family Center Y for specific details.
Hero Fit
Come get Hero Fit and help our kids lift some of the weight off of their shoulders. FX Studios will host a fitness event to benefit Baltimore Child Abuse Center (BCAC) at Under Armour's Combine Training Center in Locust Point, Baltimore. Hero Fit will combine fitness and fun. Throughout the day, attendee's can participate in multiple fitness classes such as yoga, spinning, boot camp, and kids camp (a child-friendly agility class). There will also be a silent auction, door prizes, and corn hole tournament. Mark your calendars because this event will sell out!

Page to Stage: Greek Myth Plays
In this class, we will explore Greek myths using character development, movement, art, and music. We’ll work as an ensemble to bring to life the stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Pandora’s Box. Students will use their creativity to stage the short plays, make their own costumes and settings, and showcase their work in a performance on the last day of class. This class is designed to build confidence, strengthen reading and listening skills, and promote teamwork in an environment that is supportive and lots of fun! Come play!
Young Family Shabbat Experience
Celebrate Shabbat morning with your children in Federal Hill with song, music, play, stories, and crafts! Try Kesher School’s child-centered, experiential Young Family Shabbat Experience for infants through preschoolers. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Downtown Baltimore JCC – 1118 Light Street.

Zombie Gras
Zombie Gras will be invading Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 from 10am until 6pm. Zombies will start at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum at 10am where make-up artists, vendors, characters will be roaming the halls. 12:00 we will be awarding best in costume for best zombie, best zombie couple, best zombie family, and best child zombie
LEGO Castle Adventure Exhibit
Builders of all ages are invited to explore, build and play in our newest traveling exhibition – LEGO® Castle Adventure! In this exhibit kids and their families are transported to a LEGO® kingdom where they too can become master castle builders, using one of the greatest building materials of all time – LEGO bricks.

The Observatory is open to museum visitors every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting. Admission is included with Science Center admission.

ArtsCentric Presents "Sincerely, MeN!"
"Sincerely, MeN!" is an original musical revue celebrating African-American male artists from the 50s to the 90s. From James Brown to Fred Hammond, Jodeci to Earth, Wind and Fire, there is something for everyone. This uproariously funny and beautifully sung work is unlike anything you've ever seen before. You don't want to miss this event. Come out and see the show that everyone will be talking about.
Scene Study for High School Students
In this class, students will explore the building blocks of performance by delving into contemporary scenes. By experimenting with character and emotion, developing honest moments, and staging the work for an audience, students will experience an overview of the actor's process. Class will include a mix of warm-ups, group exercises, text analysis, and open rehearsal time, all geared toward providing an introduction to acting techniques. Actors will work in pairs and small groups to collaborate on a selection of scenes, culminating in a sharing for friends and family.

Gallery Exhibits: Personal Geographies - Maps as Art/No Boundaries
Presented annually in partnership with the Howard County Public School System, this year’s Youth Art Month exhibit is titled Personal Geographies – Maps as Art and features hundreds of works by HCPSS students in grades K-12. The students’ artworks, selected from public school art classes throughout the county, investigate the many ways that maps inform and influence the way we see and navigate within the visual world.

Stepping is a rising art form and an important part of African Americans artistic and cultural heritage. Stepping is using the body to create rhythms and sounds through different combinations of footsteps, claps, and vocals. Come and learn how to step at Jubilee! For ages 12-17.
