Site-Specific Community Photo Shoot on Feb. 28th at Grey Matter, Station North
Calling all artists! Deep Vision Dance Company (DVDC) hosts a site-specific, professional photo shoot at Grey Matter Art Studos at the Cork Factory. This high quality shoot provides artists with head, body, and action shots for their audition and marketing needs. Venue offers a variety of unique sites, ranging from industrial to art gallery feel. **Time slots are 50 minutes for $80 and include assistance with a DVDC company member. All photos are returned to artist on CD. Artists must pay in advance to reserve spot. This event is a fundraiser for DVDC.
Young Family Shabbat Experience
Celebrate Shabbat morning with your children in Federal Hill with song, music, play, stories, and crafts! Try Kesher School’s child-centered, experiential Young Family Shabbat Experience for infants through preschoolers. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Downtown Baltimore JCC – 1118 Light Street.

Winter Art Classes
Towson University's Community Art Center is offering winter art classes and now is the time to register! Classes are available for students aged 5- 16 years. Registration is available for classes in drawing, painting, clay, animation, comics, digital art, sculpture, mosaics, and portfolio prep. Classes begin on January 24, 2015 and they are usually held on Saturdays.

Improv and Storytelling for Kids! Ages 7-10
Bring your imagination and get ready for fun! Young actors combine basic improvisation and acting skills with the art of storytelling to create spontaneous collaborative stories! The 8-week session will culminate with a performance for friends and family. Must register in advance, registration closes on January 4th.

Selfies: Over 50 Ye ars of Raoul Middleman’s Self Portraits showcases hundreds of self portraits by Baltimorebased artist and longtime MICA painting faculty member Raoul Middleman. In this solo show, visitors will glimpse an intimate view of the artist from his own perspective through self portraits created throughout his more than 50-year career.
Yoga Storytelling
Ready, Set, Let's flow into some stories! Story Warriors learn to combine yoga poses, breath, and relaxation with the art of storytelling as they recount and rework traditional fairy tales while learning to embody and release the emotions of their characters! The 8-week session will leave participants with new ways of getting into a story and working a characters as well as their own emotions. Parents and family members are welcome to stay for the class, as long as they are ready to participate with the group!
LEGO Castle Adventure Exhibit
Builders of all ages are invited to explore, build and play in our newest traveling exhibition – LEGO® Castle Adventure! In this exhibit kids and their families are transported to a LEGO® kingdom where they too can become master castle builders, using one of the greatest building materials of all time – LEGO bricks.

MICA’s Exhibition Development Seminar (EDS) students present HAND/MADE, an art show juxtaposing an original 19th-century marble sculpture by sculptor and former MICA student William Henry Rinehart with 3D, performance, and video works by contemporary sculptors and interdisciplinary artists. HAND/MADE makes vital connections between traditional methods employed by artists working with 19th-century studio artisan teams and collaborative practices in contemporary studios.
Kidney Health Risk Assessment at B’More Healthy Expo
Kick off National Kidney Month by taking the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD)s free Kidney Health Risk Assessment to identify if you’re an adult at risk for chronic kidney disease.
The assessment uses a simple Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, blood pressure measurement and a short six-question questionnaire to make participants aware of their risk factors for chronic kidney disease.

On The Mind Exhibition
Maryland Art Place (MAP) is pleased to present “On the Mind”, an exhibition that explores varying perspectives on the brain by artists Monica Lopez Gonzales, Jon Malis, Lee Gainer & Nancy Andrews. The exhibition will include a variety of media from large-scale acrylic paintings highlighting recollection and memory to works on paper and digital media pieces. “On the Mind” will be the first major public exhibition to take place in MAP’s newly renovated gallery space.
