The inaugural exhibition for the BMA’s new Center for People & Art brings together 37 works from across the BMA’s collection to explore the universal theme of home. Visitors will discover paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, textiles, and works on paper from the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands, as well as four miniature rooms, plus a variety of interactive features presented in three thematic areas:
Queer Interiors is part of the BMA’s Commons Collaboration initiative, which commissions an artist and non-profit to work together on an installation and offer a series of public programs related to Imagining Home. The project conceived and produced by Rahne Alexander and Jaimes Mayhew is comprised of a larger-than-life bed, shelving and other furnishings, personal artifacts, and a multimedia wall quilt known as the Baltimore LGBTQI+ Home Movie Quilt.

Members of the Training Choir (ages 6-10), Choristers (10-14), and Cantate (12-18) rehearse high quality treble music of advancing challenge and sophistication, and perform in public concert at least twice a year. In recent years, the Chorus has performed local groups like the BSO, Lyric Opera, Baltimore Choral Arts society and more. We have toured in England, France, Italy, Germany, and Austria.

BE MORE THAN FUNNY. BE LOVED.
So you perform … but are they on the edge of their seats, breathless to see what you’ll do next ? They could be. You just need to get naked.
This is a no-prior-experience needed class in West Coast Swing, a partner dance that is the smooth contemporary cousin of the swing dance family! (example)
While we do allow drop-ins any week of the month, this class is designed as a 4 week progressive series that starts the first week of every month. For the best educational experience (and a discount), we recommend taking the full month series.

Presented by Art + Feminism and led by librarian and Art+Feminism Co-founder Siân Evans. Contribute to fair representations of women and people of color in the arts by adding and editing content on the world’s largest online encyclopedia of knowledge. In a 2011 survey, the Wikimedia Foundation found that less than 10% of its contributors identify as female. This lack of female participation has led to an alarming dearth of content about women and art in the world’s most popular online research tool. People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to participate.
