SpaceFinder Baltimore:
For artists, the process of finding work space can be frustrating and inefficient. Meanwhile, venues have limited resources to spend finding new renters. Earned revenue is critical for creative venues yet many rental spaces are tragically underutilized. Through the SpaceFinder program, Fractured Atlas is increasing visibility of rental options, helping artists find the space they need, and helping venues promote and rent their spaces. Amanda Keating, Director of Fractured Atlas’ SpaceFinder Program will provide an introduction to SpaceFinder and discuss how artists and spaces can utilize this tool to find each other.

Art in Sacred Spaces:
Built with Partners for Sacred Spaces, a national nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of historic religious properties, the successful Arts in Sacred Places program was designed to facilitate long-term, mutually beneficial space-sharing relationships between arts organizations and houses of worship.

In 2015, a national study examined the space needs of dance, theater, and other performing arts groups in Baltimore, Austin, and Detroit. Representative sacred places in Baltimore were assessed to determine the availability of space and willingness to share it with Baltimore's artists. The findings illuminate the dire situations faced by artists and include recommendations for potential space-sharing models that can be adopted in Baltimore and across the country. Karen DiLossi, Director of the Arts in Sacred Places program at Partners for Sacred Places will present these findings, giving a focus to Baltimore's results and Phase II work.
