Michael’s Café, a family-owned and operated restaurant known for its award-winning crab cakes, will celebrate the fifth edition of The Crab Ball. Highlights of the event will include an outdoor tented concert featuring four bands, a DJ in the inside patio bar, an evening band inside the original bar, all you can eat pig roast, outdoor bars and other dining options.

Musical talents for the outdoor concert include:

• The Amish Outlaws, “The East Coast’s premiere and most fun party band”
• Walk Ins Welcome, high energy modern country band with a dash of old school country and classic rock
• Mad Planet, Maryland’s best rock, reggae and funk band
• Someone Else, Baltimore-based alternative, ambient and folk rock band

The event is free before 5 p.m., with a $10 charge after 5 p.m. From 9:30 p.m. – close, Michael’s Café will host Mad Planet again in the original bar. DJ Fun Billy will perform in the inside patio bar from 10 p.m. – close.

The Crab Ball will feature an all you can eat pig roast for $15.00. Michael’s Café will also be selling their famous homemade crab cakes, made from a secret recipe that dates back over four generations. Additionally, the restaurant will have an outdoor oyster bar with 8 varieties of oysters.

Two outdoor bars will offer specialty beers sponsored by Union Craft Brewing, and a “crush” station including Orange Crush, Grapefruit Crush, and Strawberry Moonshine Crush. The patio bar will be stocked with top shelf liquors, moderately priced wines by the bottle or glass, local wine, and a full array of domestic and imported beers along with local craft beers. Hand crafted cocktails will also be available in the bar and The Patio at Michael’s Cafe.
