Tipsy Tea: 20th Evening of Traditional Beverages

Tipsy Tea: 20th Evening of Traditional Beverages

Homewood Museum once again will strike the perfect balance between libations and learning at its 20th Evening of Traditional Beverages.

Cocktails with tea are showing up on more and more bar menus as mixologists turn to this 5,000-year-old beverage to expand their repertoire. Combining the virtues of tea with the vices of tipples, “tea-tails” are heady blends of spirits infused with everything from chamomile to Darjeeling.

Have your pinky poised to sample Woodberry Kitchen’s fresh take on this deliciously complex combination, emphasizing seasonal, homemade ingredients. Light bites will be served.

6:15 p.m. Historical Remarks
- Catherine Rogers Arthur, Director and Curator, Homewood Museum
- Corey Polyoka, Beverage and Bar Manager, Woodberry Kitchen

The museum will open at 5:30 p.m. for walk-through tours.

The event will be held outdoors weather permitting. The rain location is the Glass Pavilion, Levering Hall, also on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus.
