From Naoko Maeshiba

SubjectObject is a solo performance project that investigates the nature of ‘self’ through deconstruction and redefinition. In collaboration with artists who act as her mirror/sounding board/consultant, Maeshiba will conduct a year-long experimentation examining the components of ‘self’ on both macro and micro levels, delving into the images and kinetics constructed by the social system. The result and process will be shared with the audience through three study presentations and the final performance.
