Maryland Nonprofits: Baltimore Mayoral Forum

Maryland Nonprofits: Baltimore Mayoral Forum

Baltimore’s nonprofit community will hold a moderated forum for Baltimore mayoral candidates focusing on how each candidate would, as mayor, effectively engage the civil society sector to improve the lives of city residents.

This forum will be our sector’s opportunity to hear candidates’ visions for Baltimore and their approach to improving quality of life in the city that we love.

Invited candidates are: former Mayor Sheila Dixon, Ms. Elizabeth Embry, Councilman Nick J. Mosby, State Senator Catherine E. Pugh, Councilman Carl Stokes, and Mr. David L. Warnock. The forum will be moderated by University of Baltimore President, and former Mayor, Kurt L. Schmoke and the candidates will be asked questions generated from a survey of our members and covering a range of issues including: arts and culture, education, economic and community development, the environment, government accountability, housing and homelessness, public safety, health, transportation, workforce development and youth opportunities.
