BALTIMORE – April 10-17, 2016, William Grant & Sons and Baltimore-based mixologist and curator Ginny Lawhorn will present the second-annual Baltimore Cocktail Week (BCW). This week-long event will offer a series of programs, master craft classes, and trade-show style mini-tastings designed specifically for Baltimore’s service community, as well as contests that highlight the talented and creative bartenders in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. On Sunday, April 10 at 6pm at Pen & Quill, the public is invited to attend the “Baltimore Lovely Ladies Bartender Competition,” a launch party featuring cocktails, competition and camaraderie between a dozen of Baltimore’s finest female bartenders. The winner will be awarded a $250 prize and will be featured in an upcoming issue of Baltimore STYLE magazine. 25% of ticket sales will be donated to Moveable Feast's “Ride for the Feast.” Lite and vegan fare and a welcome cocktail will be provided.

The public is also invited to attend a screening of the documentary Hey Bartender on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Landmark Theatres Harbor East. Lite fare and Sailor Jerry cocktails will be provided. 25% of ticket sales will be donated to Moveable Feast's “Ride for the Feast.”

Throughout the week, participating bars and restaurants will have signature cocktails available to the public. With each purchase, a one-dollar ($1) donation will be made to charitable organizations chosen by the participants. The highest donating participant will have the donation matched by Baltimore Cocktail Week, along with a half page feature in Baltimore STYLE magazine.
