Alzheimer’s Association Annual Dementia Conference

As the Baltimore area’s leading dementia conference for healthcare professionals and care partners, this comprehensive, full-day event will feature expert speakers on Alzheimer’s research and practical information on Alzheimer’s care.

Lisa Gwyther, MSW, director of the Family Support Program and associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University, will present the morning keynote on caregiver stress and strategies for dealing with it.

Esther Oh, M.D., co-director of the Johns Hopkins Memory and Alzheimer’s Treatment Center, will present the afternoon keynote on the latest studies seeking diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s.

Breakout sessions will address such topics as Legal & Financial Planning, Ethical Issues in End of Life Care and Sexuality and Dementia, among others.

The admission fee includes breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Professionals who register also will receive social work continuing education credits. Respite care is available for care partners registered for the conference.
