Cellist Ismar Gomes and pianist Wan-Chi Su, each an award-winning artist and accomplished chamber musician, will present a duo recital that features Frédéric Chopin's Sonata for Piano and Cello, Op. 65, one of only nine works published in his lifetime that were composed for an instrument other than the piano. The rest of the program includes Leos Janáček’s Pohádka (Fairy Tale), “Air” by Aaron Jay Kernis, and a piece written for them by New York-based composer William H. Weigel, called "Fantasy Variations.
