We have a scholarship available for a winter class!

The Baltimore Jewelry Center is happy to announce that we have one full scholarship available for a 12-week class for our winter term. (January-March). The recipient of the scholarship will be awarded tuition for one 12-week class and studio rental for 3 months as well as a basic jewelry toolkit.

The scholarship is available to a student new to the BJC (who has never before taken a course with us). We are looking for someone with a passion for the creative process who wants to learn metalsmithing and art jewelry skills. The recipient needs to show commitment to learning and an inner drive to create art and learn new skills. The recipient is expected to attend every class session and complete the required assignments; the recipient will receive support from the BJC staff to help him/her succeed in the class.

• 1-2 page letter expressing your interest and need; include why you want to take a class at the Baltimore Jewelry Center and why you are interested in making jewelry
• 1 letter of reference that speaks to your work ethic and commitment to learning
• resume (optional)
• 5-10 images of artwork, in any media (optional)
