The choreography of Israeli-born Zvi Gotheiner enlightens and amazes audiences with its contemporary aesthetics and lush, full-bodied movement. Recognized by the New York Times as one of the top ten dance favorites of 2013, Dabke (2012) is based on a Middle-Eastern folk dance. DABKE, inspired by Zvi’s childhood on a kibbutz, energetically combines rich Israeli and Arabic folk dance. ZviDance performs frequently at home in such New York venues as the Joyce Theater, Dance Theater Workshop and Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors and has toured across North America and abroad to Germany, Poland, Russia, Israel, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and Japan.
