LYRA is a choral community of professional musicians, most of whom are students or graduates of the St. Petersburg (Russia) Conservatory. LYRA’s main goal is exploring and popularizing Russian choral music from the ancient songs of the Orthodox Church to works of remarkable little-known and well-known composers of the 18th–20th centuries. The repertoire includes folk and secular songs in both the composer’s and LYRA’s arrangements, as well as the great tradition of the Orthodox Church.
