Located in a historic 104-year old converted warehouse in the heart of the City, the Soulful Emergence Art Gallery is a 1,200 square foot space dedicated to promoting artists and the arts first and foremost, but which also serves as a community center for the neighborhood. We continue to carry on the essence and beauty of Baltimore's buildings by allowing the exposed brick walls and ceiling rafters/beams to remain visible. This gives the Gallery a certain character and charm not found in most traditional art galleries. We also offer our "Zen Room" as a quiet retreat for meditation, inward reflection, crystal healing/reiki/massage sessions, and prayer. Free wi-fi is available to patrons while they are in the Gallery working.
The Gallery seeks to represent local artists primarily; however we represent artists from around the world. In addition to showing and selling works of art, the Gallery hosts a bi-monthly open mic poetry event, workshops on writing, and a multitude of art workshops for adults and children. Along with sharing the healing power of visual art + the spoken word, the Soulful Emergence Art Gallery is committed to helping you heal your total Self -- mind, body, and soul. Therefore, we offer class in Qigong every Sunday which is free to the public. We also offer a 2-hour Dynamic Meditation Practice in conjunction with Creativity & Crystal Healing, combining visual journaling, meditation through movement, and crystal healing modalities to touch and expand the total person. There are a wealth of things to involve yourself in at the Gallery!
