Single Carrot will be doing a reading of Jen Silverman’s play, The Roommate, recently premiered at last year’s Humana Festival of New American Plays. The reading is directed by Ensemble Member Dustin Morris, and the cast includes Marianne Angelena (Social Creatures, Season 8) and Virginia House (Year of the Rooster, upcoming in Season 9).

The reading is a part of Cohesion Theatre's state-wide play reading festival, ParityFest. Cohesion has partnered with The Kilroys, an LA-based group committed to gender parity in the arts, which releases The List, an annual compilation of the most recommended new and under-produced plays written by female playwrights. Single Carrot Theatre, along with a dozen other participating theatre companies, have joined ParityFest to share these plays.
