Using dance as its vessel, Wild Saffron Dance Company transports audiences across Asia, North Africa, and Europe following the ancient routes of the spice trade. "Nocturnal" invites audiences to explore how common seeds of movement were passed from land to land as well as the geographic, religious, and cultural influences that developed each into its unique dance style. Based in the American-born style of Tribal Fusion bellydance, "Nocturnal" weaves in and out of these traditional dances bridging stylistic gaps and expanding on shared aesthetic elements.
