3RD EYE THURSDAYS is our open mic spoken word event. Come and bless the Box with your words of wisdom through poetry and prose.

Held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of every month, we have an open mic segment allowing freedom of speech on the mic through original poems, spoken word pieces, and monologues. Following the open mic, we have a featured Experience: one poet, usually from the local area, who is given 30 minutes to wow us with words. This poet is a performing poet whose main source of livelihood is performing poetry on stage and we offer a platform for these artists to be heard as well as a means for them to earn their keep and not be "starving artists."

Light refreshments are available through Bar Solstice, a locally owned (Baltimore based) and operated vendor. We are excited about the opportunity to be a small business helping another small business!!!

On the 5th Thursdays, we often turn to the acoustic side of the art world, opening up the stage to local musicians. We have had the likes of Christen B., Quinton Randall, Jahiti Brownfish, and Wordslave (of the Kelly Bell Band) grace our stage with powerful, original vocals and sounds.
