The works in Free Recall look through the lens of paranormal sightings and action movies to examine reality and fantasy, the boundaries of self and otherness, and the transformative power of sight and misinterpretation.



Jon Marshalik (born 1988, Baltimore, MD) earned his MFA and BFA ('14 and '10) from the Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2014 he was a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His work has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Baltimore, Washington DC, and New York City.
