Brigance Brigade Foundation 2nd Annual 5.7K Championship Run

The Brigance Brigade Foundation, an organization that supports ALS patients and their families created by former NFL player O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda, will host the organization’s 2nd Annual 5.7K Championship Run & 1 Mile Family Run/Walk in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, Md. on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Registration is now open for the event which will help further the mission of the Brigance Brigade Foundation, whose goal is to equip, encourage and empower people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) by providing access to equipment, resource guidance and support services to patients and their families.

In honor of former Baltimore Ravens player O.J. Brigance's jersey number (57), the event will include a timed 5.7K run, as well as a 1 Mile Family Run/Walk and a Kid’s Fun Run. The family-friendly event will feature a Celebration Village, located in Canton Waterfront Park, where participants can gather before, during and after the races. All in attendance will be able to enjoy live music from Baltimore-based Dreamboat Armada, snacks and drinks, harbor views from the park, vendor tables and tents, and a Kid’s Fun Zone featuring inflatable games and more.

The 5.7K will begin at 9:00am across the street from the Canton Waterfront Park. Registration is now open for all three events and fees are as follows: 5.7K Race - $40; 1 Mile Run/Walk - $20; Kid’s Fun Run - $10 thru April 1. Prices will increase after April 1.
