AKIMBO 2015 Call for Artists

It is that time of year again when Deep Vision Dance Company is hosting FREE Liz Lerman Workshops and gearing up for the AKIMBO Dance Festival proposal process. Below are more details and attached are the AKIMBO 2015 application and guidelines. Even if you don't plan to submit an AKIMBO proposal we would love to see you at the Liz Lerman Workshop. And please share this email with others that you think might be interested.

This year for AKIMBO we are looking for artists to dream big, propose ideas never seen before at AKIMBO, and question definitions of dance and movement art. We are encouraging interdisciplinary projects, proposals that take artistic risks, and ideas that focus on a strong artistic vision/voice from the company or artist.

● Musicians, Visual Artists, and Literary Artists

that collaborate with movers or have a movement focus to their work.

What we are looking for:

● MOVEMENT Based Projects

● Original and Innovative Work

● Projects with a strong artistic voice and vision
