Blues Concert: "Local Goes Global: Homegrown Talent Healing the World"

Blues, Jazz, and Tango meet in an extraordinary mix of international styles when the Carroll Arts Center hosts a blues concert, “Local Goes Global: Homegrown Talent Healing the World,” Friday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. A VIP reception with the musicians, available for an additional charge, will precede the concert at 6:00 p.m.

Sponsored by IMA World Health and McDaniel College, this concert features the best of Carroll County’s fabulous local talent to raise money and awareness for global health emergencies. Artists Shelley Ensor (Voice), Jon Seligman (percussion) Christopher James (guitar and other strings) will start the evening with blues and gospel, while Alice Tung (Accordion and Viola) and Tim Jenkins (Guitar) will then add Tango. The evening will end with all playing together in the best tradition of community musical collaborations.
