Please join us for the reception of FLOWERS, a show of visual art by Baltimore-based artist Ed Istwan. This exhibition is comprised as a deceptively simple exploration of color and form, gesture and scale across several different medias. It includes over 300 individual works that create a whole environment when placed together, Istwan highlights the quiet nuance between “similar” and “the same”, “related” but also “different”. Istwan’s colorful abstract work was inspired in part by the architecture of The Peale’s landmark Latrobe Room where it will be on view from April 6, 2024 until June 2nd, 2024.
