MFA candidate Schreibman looks back to iconic American clothing of earlier decades—the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s—for inspiration in her work, using clothes to directly emboss forms into paper. The push and pull of each seam, button, zipper and stray thread brings the fabric to life in the artist’s works.
