Walk to End Alzheimer’s®

Walk to End Alzheimer’s®

Help reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Greater Baltimore Walk to End Alzheimer’s® from its new downtown Baltimore location! Hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter, the event provides an opportunity for the community to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities and clinical trial enrollment, to support programs and services.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., when walkers can drop off donations, pick-up t-shirts, take team photos and decorate posters and promise garden flowers. They also can enjoy refreshments provided by Giant Food, Panera Bread and Baltimore Coffee & Tea and mingle with Miss Maryland Jade Kenny and Miss Maryland Teen Sarah Robinson, who will greet walkers and sign autographs.

At 10 a.m., WBAL-TV Anchor Stan Stovall will emcee a powerful opening ceremony that will focus on the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Everyone is encouraged to stay after the 5K walk for fun activities, including a live performance by local rock band, Slow Lights, lunch from local food trucks, a photo booth and the Making Memories Kids’ Corner. Participants can register as individuals or teams. Those who raise at least $100 will receive a Walk to End Alzheimer’s t-shirt.

The Alzheimer's Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Its vision is a world without Alzheimer's®. For more information, visit www.alz.org/maryland.
