New York and subsequently Baltimore have produced some of the finest masters of traditional Irish music in America. New York fiddler Rose Flanagan and Baltimore based flutist Laura Byrne are two of them and tonight will be celebrating the release of their debut duo recording Forget Me Not, Traditional Irish Fiddle and Flute. They will be joined by Irish music luminaries Billy McComiskey, accordion (originally from Brooklyn, now a long time resident of Baltimore and promulgator of Irish music); from New York, Dublin born Eamon O'Leary, guitar and bouzouki, and Brendan Dolan (of the Pride of New York.) They will be joined by step dancers and surprise special guests. Expect an entertaining night of top notch music and dancing - this will surely be a night to remember!
