See three dance companies perform in Drawing the Universe, featuring works from the Baltimore DC Metro area.

BlueShift Dance is joined by two guest artists: LucidBeings Dance, of Ellicott City, and SylviDances, from D.C. Each company explores the stuff we’re made of, from the subatomic, to the emotional, to the political, to the global, to the universal.

In its premiere, BlueShift Dance’s Reclamation explores Earth’s seemingly angry nature, in the wake of devastating hurricanes, floods, fires, and mudslides. Is our beautiful planet trying to reclaim her territory from humankind?

The BIDA Choreographers Showcase is a diverse evening of work from local choreographers, each one with their own unique and distinct artistic vision.

BIDA (Baltimore Independent Dance Artists) is a volunteer-based organization which, among other services, curates a season of diverse, independently produced performances by local artists who may lack the resources, support, and community that the company model provides.
