Art Alive Movement is proud to present Beauty for Ashes: A Benefit for Survivors. This event will feature talented spoken word poets, emcees, and other artists from across the country. Our featured poet is Prentice Powell. Powell has been recognized as a National Slam Finalist, 2006 Oakland and San Francisco Grand Slam Champion, and a 2013 NAACP Image Award Nominee. He has shared the stage with legends including Stevie Wonder, The Roots, and Dr. Cornell West. Other acts performing at the event include Illuminate, Will BElieve, DJ Christina Flame and more. All proceeds will benefit Shared Hope International in their fight against human trafficking. Doors open at 6pm.
