FACES 2014

FACES 2014

Join The Children’s Home for one of Baltimore’s premier fundraisers! This chic and savory evening will offer an amazing collection of wine, chef cuisine and an assortment of incredible desserts. Demonstrate your own artistic style at interactive art tables and a photo booth and also enjoy a one-of-a-kind dinner performance by the Morgan State University five-piece combo band.

The event highlight will be the live and silent auctions featuring a variety of special items, along with unique artwork created by the at-risk children and youth (resident artists) living at The Children’s Home prepared as part of a special mentorship project with Towson University School of Fine Arts.

This year’s event theme is “FACES Identity Discovery - ID.” Residents in The Children’s Home’s care respond positively to art as an innovative approach to rebuilding their lives. FACES will showcase their courage for positive change, along with their innate artistic talent.

All proceeds from FACES 2014 will help sustain quality programs and services for at-risk children, youth and their families.

About The Children’s Home

Established in 1863 as an orphanage for children abandoned due to the Civil War, The Children's Home proudly celebrates a legacy of caring for Maryland’s at-risk children and youth both inside and outside the family structure. Its programs and services have continued to evolve to meet the needs of the community. The Children’s Home is now recognized as one of Maryland’s premier providers of short- and long-term residential treatment care for Maryland youth, ages 13–21, who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family crisis and may be in need of structured and supervised care.
