Experience Evergreen Museum & Library’s artistic wonderland and expansive gardens after hours at this annual, free, family-friendly event.

5:30-7:30pm Artist Reception and Museum After-Hours

Meet the museum's 2017 Artist-in-Residence Tony Auth, explore his new site-specific installation "Melding Museum and City," and see a special one-night-only gathering of 30 art cars. Explore the Gilded Age mansion’s first-floor installations and historic rooms; and discover rare William Shakespeare materials drawn from the John Work Garrett Library. Light summer refreshments will be served.

7:30pm Shakespeare in the Meadow

Then head to the Meadow to see an under-the-stars preview performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by the The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory. Curtain time is 8 p.m. with a 7:30 pre-show featuring contemporary music and other entertainment. Picnicking in the Meadow is welcome (bring short chairs, blankets, and bug spray).
