The New Music Festival continues with the full orchestra. Guest artist Agata Zubel performs her haunting composition for soprano and instrumental ensemble, Chapter 13, followed by the orchestra’s rendition of In the Shade of an Unshed Tear. This performance includes a World Premiere by Syrian-American composer Malek Jandali and culminates in the reprise of Kevin Puts’ The City, a BSO co-commission performed at Carnegie Hall in 2015.

6 pm: Pre-concert block party outside of the Meyerhoff with food trucks from The Gathering, drink specials and live music from DJ Dubble8

7 pm: Round-table discussion with Marin Alsop and guest composers in the Meyerhoff lobby. Open to all ticket holders.

Tickets for the New Music Festival can be purchased individually or as a package. All tickets are $15 for July 13, $25 for July 15 or $30 for both concerts.
