AN EVENING OF JOYFUL NOISE WITH RHODA!
Rhoda Harrison will present a program of American theatre and opera gems while sharing how music has carried her through life.
A classically trained lyric-coloratura soprano, Rhoda Harrison delights audiences with her interpretations of theatre and opera favorites as well as lesser-known art songs. She has performed on the concert stage throughout the United States, locally at Peabody’s Friedberg Hall and The Gordon Center, and has worked as a cantor in Reform synagogues in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Wherever she sings, Rhoda is recognized for coupling her rich and emotive lyrical expression with her expansive range to express text and uplift audiences. Rhoda will be making A Joyful Noise along with collaborative accompanist, Alex Chan.
"Rhoda is a delight … intensely devoted to her craft. The musicality expressed in her singing is most affecting, and hearing her in concert is a treat not to be missed. Her personality is positive, encouraging, and inspiring.” - Wallace Ford, Director of Music/Organist/Harpist
