Mind on Fire is a chamber orchestra that performs written music by the living. Incorporated this year, we’re devoted to joining the Baltimore arts community to perform contemporary music of creative virtuosity.

Art directors Allison Clendaniel and James Young will present a concert of music, poetry, and puppetry on Friday, May 5 at 8pm, featuring compositions by Amy Beth Kirsten, the Nudie Suits, Frederic Rzewski, Young, and others.

Janea Kelly (City Paper’s “Best Poet” of 2016) will read a selection of her work, exploring “pain and beauty and loyalty and loneliness.” Puppet troupe Feral Woman will present FRUITS, a nice play about antioxidants, driving cars, and gambling.

This is our very first party. You are invited. We’re going to launch with a big, beautiful, super variety show!
