Come and learn about the history, chemistry, and artistic nature of Indigofera tinctoria - Indigo. We will lead a demonstration on both indigo itself as well as the Japanese fabric resisting techinique - shibori. Then you will have free reign of the vats and shibori tools to make your fabrics beautiful and unique.

This event is BYOF (bring your own fiber), but we ask that you be cognizent of your fellow participants. Please do not bring full sheet sets or towels. These will eat up too much dye.

Recommended fibers to bring in:

- Old cotton t-shirts

- Pillow cases

- Cotton shopping bags

- Small yardage of fabric for quilting

- Yarns
