Celebrate Mardi Gras with the RedwineJazz Band. New Orleans based Clarinetist Ben Redwine returns to the Baltimore region, reuniting the band for a swinging evening of Mardi Gras inspired New Orleans Jazz. The RedwineJazz Band was founded in 2004 and has performed nationally and in the Baltimore/DC region. Ben Redwine leads the group with John Previti playing bass and Tom Mitchell on guitar.

John Previti, the east coast’s premier jazz and blues bassist, provides rhythmic support with virtuostic, melodic style. He performed for two decades with local legend Danny Gatton, and continues to perform in the Baltimore/DC region.

Baltimore resident Tom Mitchell, whose style represents influences from gypsy jazz to Americana to swing, wows audiences with his hard driving guitar sound and soulful singing. Touring for many years with Dan Hicks and “His Hot Licks” band, Tom is an accomplished and highly regarded musician.

Ben Redwine, relocated to Louisiana in 2016 after retiring from the US Naval Academy Band. Now living in New Orleans, Ben has performed at venues such as Snug Harbor, the Marigny Opera House, New Orleans Museum of Art, St. Tammany Art Association and the Southern Hotel. His first performance after moving south was to play for Pete Fountain’s funeral at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.
