Light City Baltimore

Light City Baltimore

Building on the incredible success of its inaugural year, Baltimore hosts the second iteration of Light City, America’s first international large-scale light, music and innovation festival with 22 large-scale light art installations, 50 concerts and 150 performances. Central to Light City is the BGE Light Art Walk, a 1.5-mile trail along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor featuring illuminated sculptures, projections, interactive technologies, pop-up performances, musical entertainment, locally sourced food concepts and maker tents. Ten new commissions will be unveiled at Light City and the majority of pieces will be brand new to Light City, with only two 2016 crowd favorites returning with 2.0 versions: The Peacock by Tim Scofield and Kyle Miller, and The Pool [Reflect] by Jen Lewin. With a distinguished roster of local, national and international artists, seven countries will be represented at Light City including the UK, France, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Lebanon and Israel.
