Icing Smiles will host the 2017 Baltimore Buttercream Ball, Cocktails and Confections, at the Baltimore Museum of Art as a night to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments with pastry professionals and area advocates. The evening will also raise funds to support Icing Smiles’ mission to provide custom celebration cakes to families impacted by the critical illness of a child, with the goal of providing a temporary escape from worry and creating positive memories during a difficult time.

With over 11,000 cakes delivered to date, Icing Smiles relies on a generous team of volunteer bakers and cake artists around the country to fulfill this mission. The annual Buttercream Ball fundraiser is supported by generous donors, including the 2017 title sponsor and family-owned company, Nielsen-Massey Vanillas.

The 2017 Nielsen-Massey Buttercream Ball will give guests the chance to experience a special welcome from the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. The high-energy, interactive cocktail and confection party will feature gourmet savories prepared by Rouge Fine Catering; a delicious dessert buffet provided by Baltimore’s favorite baker and owner of La Cakerie, Jason Hisley; and a visually delightful cake showpiece provided by Amy Egan and Tavares Evans of Cakes 2-A-T. Not to be missed are signature cocktail recipes from Nielsen-Massey, Domino Sugar and Beam/Suntory, adding to an evening that is both delicious and fun.
