Loyola's Literacy Leadership Awards

Winners will be awarded at a ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the 4th Floor Program Room in the Andrew White Student Center on Loyola’s Evergreen campus. The awards and event are sponsored by Loyola’s School of Education.

The ceremony will include a keynote address from Violet Harris, Ph.D., professor emerita at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her lecture, “Ideological Construct and Current Fact; Multiculturalism and Multicultural Literature for Youth,” will focus on the cultural processes that impact the creation, production, dissemination, and response to multicultural literature for youth.
