Recalibration

Recalibration

Join us for the exhibition of Recalibration during Alloverstreet Baltimore.

Recalibration is an ongoing series of exhibitions featuring crowd sourced concepts on how reclaimed materials can be saved from the landfill and turned into artworks. Using a simple form online at www.paulmericle.com/recalibration, the public is able to choose a subject, color pallet, and material to be "recalibrated”. These ideas are then taken by artist Paul Mericle (and in this exhibition's case- his students as well), who then in turn collect the materials, break them down and attempt to create the proposed artwork.

If you are interested in having your idea featured in one of the Recalibration exhibitions, please visit paulmericle.com/recalibration and take a moment to fill out the form.

This second installment of the exhibition series will feature "Recalibrated" works by Baltimore city students alongside artist Paul Mericle with performances by Dylan Kinnett, MC Bravado, and Fat Kneel. The exhibition will be held in a pop-up gallery installed in the Copycat Building in Baltimore, Maryland, in studio A402. The exhibition is for one night only, Friday, November 04 at 7 p.m. There will be light refreshments served throughout the night, along with a bar that will be open from 9 to midnight, as well as special giveaways for lucky guests who check in at the door. Artworks will be paired with specially selected songs produced by Fat Kneel, purchases of "Recalibrated" works as well as prints will receive a copy of that specially selected track.
