The Children’s Home Pup Parade

The Children’s Home Pup Parade

The Children’s Home, a 501 (c) 3 organization committed to fostering statewide crisis intervention services for youths ages 13 to 21, invites the community to “let the dogs out” for a morning of family and canine fun. Pets can strut their stuff and compete for such awards as: Most Pawsome Costume, Most Talented Pup, Best Dog/Owner Costume Duo and Cutest Pup.

Guests also can enjoy performances by acoustic rock duo, The Boh-tinis, face painting, and hamburgers, hotdogs, other refreshments and soft drinks for sale by The Children’s Home to support its programs for Maryland’s at risk children, youths and their families.

The Pup Parade will serve as a creative interpretation of “Unleash Your Awesome”– the theme of The Children’s Home’s signature fundraiser, FACES 2016 taking place Friday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

FACES 2016 will offer gourmet food by Puttin’ On The Ritz complemented by wine, beer, sodas and a signature cocktail; dancing to live music by The Swingin’ Swamis; raffle drawings; pumpkin decorating; a photo booth, and live and silent auctions featuring one-of-kind artwork created by The Children’s Home residents, who respond positively to art as an innovative approach to rebuilding their lives.

At the Pup Parade, pets can unleash their awesome with their owners, while The Children’s Home residents incorporate these sights into their art for the FACES 2016 auction.
