The final event of the St. David’s 2016-2017 music series begins at 4:30 pm on May 14, featuring Trio Sirènes: Marcia Kämper, flute; Karin Brown, viola; and Jacqueline Pollauf, harp. With performers drawn from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the trio enjoys pushing their own artistic boundaries towards artistic excellence and highlighting the diverse possibilities in combining the sounds of the wind, string, and percussion instruments. Their recital features Maurice Ravel’s Sonatine and J.S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Minor, BWV 871. The Service of Evensong follows at 5:00 pm, including music of Michael Rickelton, the 2016-2017 St. David’s Composer-in-Residence. The evening of music is free and open to the public; a suggested donation of $15 ($10 students/retirees) benefits the musicians and the music series.
