Art History + Technique: Mourning Jewelry

In this four-week class students will learn about mourning jewelry through the ages: meaning, imagery, and techniques relevant to the genre. Students will finish the class by creating a piece in memoriam to a person or topic of their choosing. Techniques covered include etching, basic enamelling, hair work, painting on glass, and bezel setting.
Prerequisite: Intro to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent

$195 (includes a $25 materials fee)
