This class introduces the principles of Computer Aided Design using Rhino 3D. We will first cover its 2D components including tracing imported photographic images, constructing lines and curves, and manipulating lines already drawn, as well as some precision modeling. 3D modeling options including various ways of creating surfaces from lines and shapes and creating solid objects will be covered. Students will create both 2D laser cut and 3D printed objects. No experience necessary. Students must provide their own laptop and download a trial version of Rhino 3D.
$325 (includes a $25 materials fee)
