Introduction to Metals + Jewelry: Section B

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of jewelry and small metals design and fabrication and is open to students of all levels. A series of projects will guide students as they build their skill set and transform their ideas into finished pieces. Through demonstrations and hands-on experience, participants learn metalworking techniques including sawing, soldering, polishing, riveting, surface embellishment, forming and hollow fabrication. Slideshows of historical and contemporary jewelry will serve to inform and inspire students’ work. No experience necessary.
